The North Florida Bicycling Club is having it's 32nd annual Endless Summer Watermelon Ride. Join our group of SMBC club members, friends and family to travel to beautiful Amelia Island, Florida for this wonderful ride. You may choose 21, 31, 53, 77 or 104 mile routes. I'm riding up to Amelia Island on Friday which includes a lunch stop in the historic town of St Augustine and then spend Saturday exploring the island or maybe taking a boat ride around the Cumberland Island National Seashore where you may see the famous wild horses. Either way it's a great way to spend a weekend. The ride was very well organized and supported when I rode it in 2019.
I'm staying at the the Residence Inn but here is a Hampton Inn right next door with many other lodging options on Amelia Island. We can ride together or ride at your own pace on this ride. Respond to this forum to share your name and hotel and maybe we can organize some starting times and meeting places before the ride.
Registration is now open at: www.RegisterESWR.com. Sarasota Manatee Bicycle Club members are offered a 10% when you enter discount code: SMBC2021

I am going- staying at Marriot Residence Inn as well. Have started a list of others in hopes of gathering for group dinner or other festivities over the course of the weekend at Amelia. Raise your hand if you wish to be included.
I’m going also. Staying at the Residence Inn. Hope to meet up with other club members for happy hour, sightseeing, biking and lots of fun.
I may bring some of my “almost famous” rice crispy bars!
Thanks for putting this forum together 😀
